OUR APPROACH TO SERVICING.
It's simple, we want you to be delighted with your bike and this is reflected in our care and attention to detail. Before proceeding with a service/repair, we will always call you to explain and discuss any issues identified. This leaves you in control of costs and ensures you don't get any surprises.
RACE PREP SERVICE - £30
Ideal if your bike is generally well maintained and you have a race coming up, or your bike needs a tweak between services. We'll sharpen up the brakes, adjusting cable tension and ensuring the brake pads are aligned to the rim, and we'll accurately index your gears. Job done!
INTERMEDIATE SERVICE – £51 - Recommended every 3 to 6 months (depending on use).
All of the components on your bike are inspected. The brakes and gears are adjusted, the chain is lubricated and the wheel hubs, headset and bottom bracket are adjusted as required. Minor truing adjustments to the wheels are also included.
All nuts and bolts are tightened to manufacturer's recommended torque and we inflate the tyres to the correct pressure.
Our Intermediate Service will noticeably improve the performance of your bike, and help identify issues before they develop into bigger repairs. It's more cost effective to have this done at regular intervals than to run your bike into the ground before having it serviced. To get the best out of this service, please give your bike a clean before dropping it off as the price does not include thorough cleaning of heavily soiled bikes.
FULL SERVICE – £88 - Recommended every 9 to 12 months (depending on use).
Our Full Service makes a huge difference to the performance of your bike. The Full Service includes everything in the Intermediate Service, plus, every individual component is thoroughly cleaned in our natural solvent parts washer, and then lubricated. We strip the wheel hubs, headset and bottom bracket, degreasing, and re-greasing each component before refitting. Bearings are replaced where necessary (bearings are charged in addition to the service – we will call you for clearance first).
We 'true' the wheels. All cables are lubricated and the seat post is cleaned and greased. Your bike will come back sparkling and running like new.
Please note, the Full Service does not include repair/maintenance of suspension related components, although we will visually inspect and advise you of any issues identified in this area and provide a quote for repair if required.
Service prices exclude any parts that may be required.
CUSTOM BIKE BUILDS
Have you bought or are you considering buying a new frameset? We stock performance components from all the leading manufacturers for road, time trial and MTB (all disciplines), and we would be delighted to work with you selecting the perfect match to build onto your frame.
We will listen to your requirements and ideas, give you our thoughts and suggestions, then once the spec is agreed, we'll offer you a fantastic package price. When we do a custom build up for you, we set aside a full day to complete it, and we work on it with care and attention until it runs perfectly.
