Well we're here to tell you that you do! Many modern bike components come marked with the recommended torque. Certainly, for carbon components, a torque wrench is essential.
We often see carbon components coming into the workshop damaged from being over tightened. These components are very expensive - this torque wrench is not.
Let's say you disassemble parts of your bike to travel abroad - make sure you put it back together to the same tension with a torque wrench.
