OUR APPROACH TO SERVICING.

It's simple, we want you to be delighted with your bike and this is reflected in our care and attention to detail. Before proceeding with a service/repair, we will always call you to explain and discuss any issues identified. This leaves you in control of costs and ensures you don't get any surprises!

INTERMEDIATE SERVICE – £48 - Recommended every 3 to 6 months (depending on use).

All of the components on your bike are inspected. The brakes and gears are set up, the chain is lubricated and the wheel hubs, headset and bottom bracket are adjusted as required. Minor truing adjustments to the wheels is also included.

All nuts and bolts are tightened to manufacturer's recommended torque and we inflate the tyres to the correct pressure.

Our Intermediate service will noticeably improve the performance of your bike, and help identify issues before they develop into bigger repairs.  It's more cost effective to have this done at regular intervals than to run your bike into the ground before having it serviced.

FULL SERVICE – £82 - Recommended every 9 to 12 months (depending on use).

Our Full Service makes a huge difference to the performance of your bike. The Full Service includes everything in the Intermediate Service, plus, every individual component is thoroughly cleaned and lubricated. We strip the wheel hubs, headset and bottom bracket, degreasing, and re-greasing each component before refitting. Bearings are replaced where necessary (bearings are charged in addition to the service – we call you first).

We 'true' the wheels. All cables are lubricated and the seatpin is cleaned and greased.  Your bike will come back sparkling and running like new.

Please note – the Full Service does not include repair/maintenance of suspension related components, although we will visually inspect and advise you of any issues identified in this area, and provide a quote at that time.

Service prices exclude any parts that may be required.

TUNE UP - £30

Ideal if your bike is generally well maintained and you have a race coming up, or your bike needs a tweak between services. We'll sharpen up the brakes, adjusting cable tension and ensuring the brake pads are aligned to the rim, and accurately index your gears. Job done!

KIDS BIKE SERVICE – £25 (for wheel size up to and including 20” wheel – excl BMXs)

We offer a reduced price for servicing kids bikes over the cost of our Intermediate Service. The main criteria for your kids bike is that it is safe, reliable, and keeps them excited about cycling. We ensure this is the case with our Kids Bike Service.

Menu style price list for individual repairs

The list below isn’t exhaustive, but we’ve included the most common jobs. If you don’t see the job you want done listed here, or if your bike is simply misbehaving and you need us to diagnose and repair the fault, just give us a call to discuss your requirements. We will do everything we can to help.  Please note if we review your bike/diagnose a fault on your  bike and you decide not to proceed with the job, we levy a 'stand fee' of £10.

Where we note a price as  - 'from...', this is simply to reflect the fact that some jobs can take longer than others, e.g. where the component in question has been poorly maintained and has perhaps seized, or has been damaged.  If we find a fault that is going to cost much more than the menu price listed below to repair, we will always call you first so you remain in control.
